Our solutions development team makes a vital contribution to our company-wide technical expertise.  It has a long history of meeting client needs, developing both nationally-implemented and bespoke solutions.

We are pleased to officially be part of the NHS's National Programme for IT, having been sponsored by a Regional Implementation Director to develop our products to the required specification.

With a concept the size of the NHS CRS (NHS Care Records Service), it can be easy to underestimate the work required to make it a success.  Our experience of NHS IT gives us the ability to work proactively with Local Service Providers, National Application Service Providers and NHS organisations.  For suppliers who are new to the market, our know-how can prove a vital link between them and the NHS's IT legacy.

We are also represented on a number of national user groups and committees including the HL7 UK Technical Committee and a number of NHS Information Authority project groups.  Indigo 4 is also a founding member of HCIF (Healthcare Interoperability Forum), contributing to the development of national standards.

Achievements in solutions development and consultancy include:

• The design and implementation of over 100 middleware systems which concurrently handle tens of thousands of secure clinical and administrative data interchanges each day
  
• Production, distribution and maintenance of communications, decryption and translation software for a national GP clinical system supplier
  
  
• Browser-based results reporting systems, mailing systems, eBooking systems and research into community-wide integrated child health records
