History

Indigo 4 Systems Limited is a private company owned by its three directors. The company was founded in 1997, following a management buy-out of the former company, Prompt Computing (Projects) Limited. Each director has been with the company since before its incorporation in 1997. The Board is backed by a dedicated staff of 38 employees including a qualified and experienced management team.

Over 150 NHS Trusts, PCTs, ISTCs and private organisations use the Indigo 4 Systems Limited product range, to meet current and upcoming national standards. In 2000, Indigo 4 Systems Limited was the first company to provide a solution to translate and submit CDS data to a central clearing service. It was jointly offered to the NHS community by BT Syntegra. The company was also the first to achieve full NMAS testing for PMIP pathology messaging with iSoft and Stockport NHS Foundation NHS Trust. Indigo 4 Systems Limited provides on site solutions and hosted bureau services as well as consultancy in a number of areas. The company has worked closely over the years with NHS Trusts, PCTs, Health Authorities, LSPs and CfH, as well as other NHS statutory bodies. Indigo 4 Systems Limited has many partner agreements in place with suppliers within the healthcare market, to provide end to end solutions. The company has 3 products that derive from our core functions as a business, these are:

• translation and messaging of clinical and administrative data including pathology, radiology, clinical correspondence including discharge summaries to GPs, cytology data to PCTs and CDS to the Secondary Uses Service (Keystone);
• electronic clinical order communications in primary and secondary care for pathology and radiology (tQuest);
• clinical data repository and display for pathology, radiology, clinical correspondence including discharge summaries and retinology (Review)
